1. Our Commitment to Accuracy

BuySale (“we,” “us,” or “our”), available at buysale.org, strives to publish content that is accurate, current, and fair. Despite our editorial and fact-checking process, described in our Editorial Policy, errors can occasionally occur — whether due to a factual mistake, an outdated product detail, or a change made by a manufacturer or retailer after publication. This Corrections Policy explains how we handle these situations.

2. Common Reasons Content Gets Corrected

We may issue a correction or update to a piece of content for reasons that include:

• A factual error in the original article, such as an incorrect ingredient, dosage, or price;
• A change made by the manufacturer to a product’s formulation, packaging, or claims after our article was published;
• A broken, outdated, or redirected link, including affiliate links;
• New publicly available information that materially changes our assessment of a product; or
• Feedback from a reader, brand, or other third party identifying a possible inaccuracy.

3. How to Report an Error

5. Types of Corrections

5.1 Minor Corrections

Minor corrections include things like typos, formatting issues, broken links, or small factual details (such as an updated price) that do not change the overall meaning, conclusions, or recommendations of the article. Minor corrections are typically made directly to the content without a separate notice, though the page’s “last updated” date will generally reflect the change.

5.2 Substantial Corrections

Substantial corrections include errors that materially affect the accuracy of a claim, a score, a ranking, or a recommendation — for example, a significant ingredient or dosage error, or new information that changes our overall assessment of a product. For substantial corrections, we will typically add a visible correction note within the article indicating what was changed and when, in addition to updating the “last updated” date.

6. Content Updates vs. Corrections

Not every update to our content reflects an error. We also routinely refresh articles to reflect new product versions, updated pricing, new research, or general improvements in clarity, as part of our ongoing editorial process described in our Editorial Policy. Only changes made specifically to fix inaccurate or misleading information are treated as “corrections” for purposes of this policy.

7. Archived or Removed Content

In rare cases — for example, if a product is discontinued, or if we determine that an article can no longer be corrected in a way that keeps it accurate and useful — we may remove content from buysale.org or replace it with updated material. Where reasonably practical, we aim to redirect removed pages to a relevant, current resource rather than leaving a broken link.
